The LaseMar 1500 is a laser of 1470 nm, which has the possibility to incorporate optical fiber of different core diameter (from 100 to over 1000 microns). The emitted energy is then directed along the optical fiber and emitted only from the fiber’s’ tip. The tip is shaped to the microscope so that the energy is emitted at an angle of 37°, allowing a very precise treatment. The wavelength can be selected (see diagram) for the water (because of the heating of the dermis and of its contraction), for the fat (because of its lipolytic effect) and for proteins (the denaturation of protein helps lipolysis and the stimulation of the production of new collagen).
