SMOOTHGLO™

The signs of facial photoaging are small telenagectasia and lentigos, a dull skin and numerous fine lines distributed evenly over the entire surface of the face. In order to try to improve all these aspects, Laserplast has invented a combined method (then spread all over the world) which uses two devices: an IPL and a microneedle radiofrequency. The combined use (in the same session) of these two methods was called SmoothGlo™.
The IPL affects and coagulates the small teleangectasia simultaneously fragmenting the pigment of small lentigos. These two effects generate heat that stimulates the production of new collagen in the most superficial layers of the skin. The microneedle radiofrequency hits the water and stimulates a robust production of collagen in the deeper layers of the skin. The two treatments described above are performed sequentially in the same session and must be considered synergistic. It was demosnstrated that the heat generated by the IPL increases radio frequency diffusion expanding its width and depth of action.
