Star Lux is a platform laser with a variety of attachable handpieces. It is equipped with the following:
- The IPL LuxG handpiece which delivers light energy between 500 and 670 nm, and between 870 and 1200 nm. This handpiece is extremely useful in treating superficial vascular lesions and benign pigmented lesions. The dual spectrum emission (which excludes all wavelengths between 670 and 870nm) means that only the wavelengths with a particular affinity for haemoglobin are used. This guarantees excellent results, above all in the treatment of more difficult vascular lesions. With a pulse duration from 5 to 100 msec, this handpiece also enables the treatment of dark skin whilst maintaining a high safety standard.
- The IPL LuxR handpiece delivers light energy between 650 and 1200nm and is used for laser-assisted epilation, which is rapidly achieved with the large-size spot (16x46mm).
- The Lux 1540 handpiece is an Er:Glass fractional laser for fractional non-ablative resurfacing and treatment of acne scars. The laser emits micro-spots of energy that cause the formation of micro-columns of denatured dermis that will be substituted with new collagen tissue.
Like the Lumenis M22, it is considered to be a platform that enables all types of non-ablative skin treatments to be carried out, with outstanding results.
